About the Course: eConfined Spaces

This course is intended for managers, supervisors, safety representatives, and others who need to understand the risks associated with working in hazardous confined environments in order to take the necessary safety measures. It is also suitable for workers whose duties involve or will involve working in confined spaces, such as welders, mechanics, and repair technicians.

Course Purpose

All participants will gain better insight into the rules and laws that apply to safe work in confined spaces, as well as improved safety awareness. ALL confined spaces must be considered potential high-risk environments and handled with respect. Examples of such environments include:

• Mines and tunnels

• Sewage systems

• Basements

• Pipe trenches

• Silos and storage tanks

• Pressure vessels, vacuum chambers, and cisterns

This course also serves as a refresher for those with prior experience. We recommend repeating the training every three years. According to Swedish Work Environment Law, the employer is responsible for ensuring that employees have the necessary knowledge to perform their duties. If an employee has been away from work for an extended period (e.g., due to illness or parental leave), a refresher may be needed sooner.

The Confined Spaces course primarily covers:

• The concept of confined spaces and various environments

• Laws and regulations

• Equipment and signage

• Risks, risk analysis, and rescue operations

Prerequisites

No prior knowledge is required.

Location

The course is delivered as a streamed, online distance learning program and can be completed at any location, whenever it suits the participant. Access is granted for 180 days after booking.
