Electrical Safety at Work (EVA) gives you reliable, up-to-date and practical skills for electrical work in everyday situations. You will learn how to work safely, interpret regulations and choose the right working method – from risk assessment to operation and maintenance. The training is web-based and flexible, allowing you to study wherever you are. Electrical Safety at Work (EVA) – Online Training

The Electrical Safety at Work course is also known as EVA. Working with electricity always involves risks. That is why you need the right knowledge and procedures to prevent accidents and create a safe working environment. Our online Electrical Safety at Work training(opens in new tab) is approved by the Central Vocational Board of the Swedish Electrical Industry (ECY)(opens in new tab) and provides you – as a manager, supervisor, safety representative or skilled worker – with the tools you need to work safely. About the Electrical Safety at Work (EVA) Course

The Electrical Safety at Work course replaces the previous Operation and Maintenance of Electrical Installations(opens in new tab) course. The aim is for you to understand and apply the applicable electrical safety regulations(opens in new tab) and carry out electrical work safely in the most common types of electrical installations. We also make a clear connection to the processes of SAM – systematic work environment management(opens in new tab), enabling you to integrate EVA into your procedures, risk assessments and action plans.

The course is fully digital and can be completed from any location. When you book the course, you receive access for 180 days and can decide when and how you want to work through the material. The training takes approximately four hours, and you finish with a course certificate that you can download immediately. Purpose of the Training

The purpose of the course is to give you both the knowledge and understanding needed to work safely in environments where electrical hazards(opens in new tab) are present. This includes:

  • Selecting the correct working method for each situation.

Course Content – Electrical Safety at Work

  • Swedish Electrical Safety Authority regulations – rules for work in professional environments.
  • The installation owner's inspection responsibilities – requirements relating to operation and maintenance.
  • SS-EN 50110-1 – operation of electrical installations.
  • The Electrical Safety Supervisor's role – how supervisors are appointed and what their responsibilities are.
  • Risk management – from planning to execution.
  • Selection of working method – choosing the correct method for different types of electrical work.

Course Duration
